How do I apply? Can I do it online, or do I need to send hard copies of my documents?
If applying for the online courses, applicants will need to submit the online enrollment form, found here. They will not need to send hard copies of documents. They will be asked to upload a copy of their undergraduate diploma(s) and a copy of the photo page of their passport, or an equivalent I.D.

Once accepted into the programme, and before graduating, online MA students will be required to mail an original copy of their undergraduate transcript and English Proficiency Test Scores, if applicable.
When is the deadline to apply for the individual online courses and the online MA?
There is no set deadline for enrollment in the individual courses or online MA. However, please check the course listings for the next available online courses, and make sure to enroll as soon as possible, as courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications to the online MA are being accepted on a rolling basis.
Are Doctorate and Master's degrees offered through the Distance Education Programme?
We offer an online MA in Sustainable Peace in the Contemporary World, online individual courses for credit and non-credit, and automated courses. For more information on any of these, please click on the menu bar, above. We currently do not have an online Doctorate programme.
Is it possible to make payment by other means, other than credit card?
For logistical and security purposes, credit card payments are preferred. However, students have the option to complete payment by wire transfer, when taking the online MA in Sustainable Peace in the Contemporary World and the individual online courses
However, for students taking one of UPEACE's automated courses, only credit card payments are accepted
Am I entitled for a refund if I am unable to complete the course I have registered for?
A refund can only be offered before the start date of the course. Distance Education Programme cannot offer refunds after a course starts.
How long does it take to finish an online course, and the online MA Programme?
Individual courses run for either 6 weeks (for a 2-credit course) or 9 weeks (for a 3-credit course). For online MA students, the academic year proceeds from September of one year to December of the next year. But students can start the online MA at any time. If students begin the programme in September, they can complete the online MA in one and a half years. Extensions may be provided for a maximum of four years, after enrolling in the programme.
Will there be any need to meet online at any specific time/date? If so, how will these be set?
Classes are held asynchronously, meaning that students will have the ability to participate in the courses at any time, according to their own schedule. All interaction among professors and students will be through forums and email.
